Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d., a company within Đuro Đaković Group, signed a contract with the French company ERMEWA for the delivery of freight wagons for steel coil transport.

The contract is worth 127,2 million HRK, and the delivery of wagons will start in the fourth quarter of the year 2018 and will continue throughout the year 2019.

This contract is a continuation of cooperation that lasts more than ten years and result of ongoing activities, not only in the development of new products, but also in the continuous development of relations with key buyers.

Wagons of the type Shimmns TTU are 4‐axled closed wagons designed for transport of steel coils, primarily used in the automobile industry. The coils are put into cargo saddles, which are equipped with a specially designed fixing mechanism and protected from all atmospheric and environmental influences by means of a movable tarpaulin system. This system enables loading and unloading by means of a crane with grips, magnet or C-hook, as well as side access for loading by forklift.

Ermewa Group is one of the leading European companies for freight railcars leasing, which focuses on railcars for transport of goods that are used in industry, agriculture and construction. The company operates in 30 countries.

In the last ten years the company Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d. has developed, manufactured and delivered bigger quantities of various types of freight wagons for the West-European market, being primarily oriented on configurations that comply with the specific requirements of the buyers and end-users, taking into account the latest development trends that are being introduced in the European rail systems.

Signing this contract is another confirmation that the restructuring processes within Đuro Đaković Group are being successfully finalised, showing positive business indicators and confirming the status of an export-oriented group.
