The Government of the Republic of Croatia visits Đuro Đaković Group

On June 14, 2023, Đuro Đaković Group had the honor of receiving a delegation from the Government of the Republic of Croatia at its premises.

The delegation was led by the Prime Minister, Mr. Andrej Plenković, and accompanying Mr. Tomo Medved, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Croatian Veterans, Mr. Oleg Butković, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, Mr. Mario Banožić, Minister of Defense, Mr. Tomislav Leko, Deputy Chief of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Marko Milić, Government Spokesperson, Mr. Robert Blažinović, Acting Director of the Directorate for Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Crafts at the Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Crafts, Ms. Judita Emić, Expert Associate at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Mr. Danijel Marušić, County Prefect of Brod-Posavina County.

As part of the visit, a working meeting was held with the management of Đuro Đaković Group, where Mr. Pavel Maroušek (CEO) of Đuro Đaković Group and Mr. Marko Ćosić, President of the Management Board, greeted the high-level guests of the Croatian Government delegation. Mr. Jaroslav Strnad and Ms. Denisa Materova, as the owners, also presented the plans for the development of Đuro Đaković Group. The meeting focused on supporting the restructuring process of Đuro Đaković Group and cooperation in the defense sector.

The esteemed Prime Minister, Mr. Andrej Plenković, welcomed the restructuring process of Đuro Đaković Group as one of the largest industrial groups in the region and a symbol of the industry. After the working meeting, a tour of the production facilities was arranged, including the wagon production sector and the defense sector. The representative of the Croatian Government, along with the delegates, visited Đuro Đaković’s production.

It should be noted that in September 2022, Czech company DD ACQUISITION a.s. became the majority owner (81.90%) of Đuro Đaković Group (including Đuro Đaković Grupa d.d. as the managing company, Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d., Đuro Đaković Strojna obrada d.o.o., and Đuro Đaković Energetika i infrastruktura d.o.o.). The Group has increased its production capacity and the number of wagons produced from 265 in 2021 to 580 in 2022.

The continuous growth of production is evidence of the success and development of Đuro Đaković Group, with a contracted production of 870 wagons in 2023. The group’s goal is to produce 2,000 wagons by 2026.
