CLOSED WAGONS FOR TRANSPORTATION OF COLD STEEL COILS

Wagon is intended for transportation of cold steel coils loaded in horizontal position, which must be protected against weather conditions. Protection and closing of cargo area is assured by installed tarpaulin with supports on wheels which is locked at the front ends of the wagon. Anti-condensation layer in the upper part of the tarpaulin prevents condensate falling onto steel coils. In the open position tarpaulin frees more then 3/5 of loading length of the wagon. This ensures completely free access to the middle cradle also, whether loading/unloading of steel coils is done from above or from the sides by industrial crane or forklift.

Wagon is equipped with 5 cradles covered with rubber, plywood or techtan for reception of steel coils. Coil securing mechanism for prevention of side movement of the coils is infinitely variable and can be accessible from both sides of the wagon. Quick manual movement of arms is possible after releasing the half-nut. There is also an optional coil securing mechanism with installed differential which allows simultaneous movement of paired arms from only one point from either side of the wagon.

With its design, manufacture and equipment, the wagon meets the existing TSI, UIC, EN and GCU.
