Contracts for new wagons worth 87 million HRK

ĐĐ Specijalna Vozila signed a contract with the SWIETELSKY Bau GmbH for the delivery of wagons of Slnps type for the transport of railway sleepers and with the EURAILPOOL GmbH for the delivery of wagons of Smnps type for transport of containers.

Đuro Đaković Specijalna Vozila d.d., a company within Đuro Đaković Group, signed a contract with the company SWIETELSKY Baugesellschaft mbH for the delivery of wagons of Slnps type for the transport of railway sleepers and with the company EURAILPOOL GmbH for the delivery of wagons of Smnps type for transport of containers. Total value of the contracts signed is 87 million HRK.

Following the earlier cooperation and quality of the delivered Eamos wagons from the year 2010, SWIETELSKY, together with the company EURAILPOOL GmbH (co-owned by Swietelsky) contacted the company Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila d.d. again, requesting development and manufacture of wagons for transport of railway sleepers and wagons for transport of bulk-containers.

During the year 2018 Đuro Đaković Specijalna vozila will design both wagon models and after that build prototypes and conduct TSI testing and certification of the wagons. Serially manufactured wagons will be delivered in the second half of the year 2019.

The Slnps wagon is a four-axle wagon used for transport of various types of railway sleepers and at the same time it can transport a portal crane for handling the railway sleepers. The wagon is used only during the reconstruction of railways or construction of new railway sections, and it is equipped with rails and special features which provide unobstructed movement of the portal crane along the entire set of wagons. Maximum amount of railway sleepers that can be transported by a wagon is 180 pieces. During transport, the railway sleepers are secured by integrated tightening devices.

The Smnps wagon is a four-axle wagon used for container transport of bulk load. The wagon can also transport a portal crane in G2 profile, which is used at the construction site for the transport of containers. The wagon is used only during the reconstruction of railways or construction of new railway sections, and it is designed for reception and transport of 6 containers and equipped with rails and special features which provide unobstructed movement of the portal crane along the entire set of wagons.
