On this day in 1991, the workers of Đuro Đaković Special vehicles Plc. stood bravely in front of a military force that tried to take what belonged to them – their dignity and freedom.
Determined to protect their factory, city and freedom, they have shown that they are ready to fight for what they believe in.
Today, as we lay wreaths in honor of those brave individuals, we pledge to cherish the memory of their act of bravery.
Let this ceremony be an opportunity for us to honor all the victims who fell defending our freedom.
