Đuro Đaković Group has successfully completed another big project, construction works on the first Croatian geothermal power plant „Velika 1″ in Velika Ciglena near Bjelovar.

The investor is the Croatian company Geoen with its Turkish partner MB Holding. Đuro Đaković Group performed construction and commissioning works and grid connection of the geothermal power plant, as well as construction of the related well facilities and reinjection pipeline. Velika Ciglena will not only be the first Croatian, but also the biggest European ORC geothermal power plant that will produce electricity out of hot water from geothermal wells. With this project, Đuro Đaković Group continues investing in energy projects that increase the share of renewable energy sources in the Croatian market.
