The wagon is intended for transportation of bulk goods in removable containers during railroad maintenance. The containers are placed and removed from the wagon by a specific gantry crane. For this purpose, the wagon is fitted with longitudinal rails that enable the gantry crane to move along side the wagons in a composition. Connecting of rails on separate wagons into one rail system for the crane is achieved by a removable transition rail.

The containers are placed in fixed cradles, designed to accommodate 6 containers per wagon. Installed containers have maximum total (loaded) weight of 8 t. The wagon is designed to accept containers with total weight of 10,6 t per container.

With its design, manufacture and equipment, the wagon meets the existing TSI, EN, UIC and GCU.
